We will soon be lighting the fires, spicing the mulled cider and pickling and fermenting the last of the Summer glut of fruit and vegetables to save for next year.
The festive period is a time for love and cheer but it can also be stressful and complicated. For a family party or a workplace gathering with colleagues, to the big day itself, we create Christmas around your style and your guests. Each of our three homes in the I’ll be Mother family have something slightly different to offer this Christmas; what doesn’t change is our commitment to helping you celebrate the festive season with our warm and generous style. At each restaurant, there is a choice of either a la carte or gathering menus where the table eat ‘family style’ with the same starter, mains and desserts. You might begin with crab doughnuts, partridge and cranberry sausage rolls and port and stilton rarebit followed by starters including guinea fowl and pistachio terrine or citrus cured salmon with celeriac remoulade. Follow with roast Norfolk Bronze turkey, pigs in blankets, chestnut, fig and sage stuffing, bread sauce and mulled cranberry relish, served with goose fat roast potatoes, maple glazed parsnips and carrots, braised red cabbage and brussel tops with walnut butter. Of course, there is classic Christmas pudding to finish or for something different, try blood orange Cointreau and white chocolate trifle or a delicious white chocolate panna cotta, dark chocolate delice and honey comb.
